Van der Vlist Special and Heavy Transport have recently completed a round trip order on behalf a client in the logistics industry.
At the Van der Vlist Terminal Moerdijk, a brand new 50 ton lifting beam had been held in stock awaiting transport instructions from the client. With 120K sqm capacity, the terminal at Moerdijk has ample storage space to hold all manner of out of gauge cargo.
As soon as the order was received, Van der Vlist mobilised a 4 axle tractor unit and 6 axle extendable semi trailer configuration to receive the lifting beam at Moerdijk. The beam was then transported by road to Rostock where it was lifted to vessel in place of the old beam. The same trailer was then loaded with the old beam which was returned to Antwerp for reconditioning.
