Whilst the Van der Vlist group don’t have a stand at the 2013 Bauma exhibition, they are heavily involved in the setup of this year’s event. As construction and mining machinery from around the world makes it’s way to Munich, Van der Vlist are making sure that some of the world’s leading suppliers have their equipment in the right place, and in top condition to show to the thousands of visitors who will descend on the Bavarian capital between 15th and 21st April.
International companies Volvo, Terex, Komatsu, Doosan, Kobelco, Soosan, SDLG, LiuGong, Hyundai and Sany have called on the services of Van der Vlist to make sure their equipment is at Bauma 2013 in top condition.
Handling the equipment as soon as it arrives at a European port, Van der Vlist will carry out an inspection to ensure the machinery is in perfect condition, carrying out repairs or cosmetic touch ups if required after the journey to port. After being stored at Van der Vlist terminals Zeebrugge or Moerdijk for a short period of time, the technical specialists conduct a final pre-delivery inspection, before transporting it to Munich.
The job is not finished upon arrival; Van der Vlist’s Technical services unload, assemble and position the machinery, before cleaning and testing it one last time. At the end of the exhibition this process will take place again in reverse, either back to the manufacturer, or on to a client if the machinery is sold at the exhibition.
This all inclusive service is part of what Van der Vlist does on a daily basis. The tasks undertaken in preparation for Bauma are a perfect example of Van der Vlist’s services linking together to provide solutions.
