This summer, the Formula Student Team Delft has been travelling through Europe to race their self-designed and self-built electric racing car against other universities. The TU Delft team, consisting of 75 young engineers to be, have done their utmost to make the 19th formula style racing car even faster than previous years.
Once design and building is completed, the team travel to three different events in the Netherlands, Hungary and Austria. They go to famous circuits such as the TT Assen and the Redbull Ring. To get there, Van der Vlist supports them by providing the transport to each racing location. At the time of writing, the team have already won the competition in the Netherlands and came close to winning in Hungary.
Similarly to the Delft team, the engineering team at Van der Vlist is always looking for technical improvements. For instance, energy saving measures such as solar panels on the trucks and the installation of GPS machine control systems in the machines that we undertake technical services on for our customers.
