Van der Vlist Technical Services has received an enquiry to perform several modifications on four Komatsu HD605 Rigid Dump trucks. The machines will be moved to a Norwegian mine where they will be deployed to work in a difficult and corrosive environment. The modifications are needed to keep the machines performing during the toughest possible tasks.
Upon arrival into the Van der Vlist Technical Services’ workshop, our clients provided two of their own mechanics to oversee operations and assist with first machine. The most significant modification is a durable rubber coating of the machines mainframe to ensure they remain in the best possible condition.
Other modifications include: replacing standard hoses with special stainless steel-lined hoses, fitting shrink rubber on various tubes and fitting multiple Xenon work lights.
