The Van der Vlist Group has recently been involved in the Construction Equipment World Economic Forum (CEWEF) in Brussels, Belgium. Bart Witzier, Business Development Manager was on the panel of experts at the event that took place over the 1st and 2nd of October and provided a presentation relating to Innovation in Logistics for Mobile Heavy Equipment.
The event was attended by over 130 senior figures from a range of companies involved in the international construction industry. A key networking and discussion date for the industry, the other panelists included Volvo CE senior vice president of strategy & business development Carl Lockwood, Ulrich Hermanski, Topcon European sales and marketing director, Babcock International business development director Simon Purchon, secretary general of the European Rental Association, Michel Petitjean and Chris Sleight, editor of KHL’s International Construction
Covering a range of topics dealing with trends and forecasting, fleet performance, customer value and efficiency, the overall theme and summary of the event pointed towards the need for change from all involved at the top of the industry to keep a grip on costs, ensure sustainability for the future and to keep waste to a minimum.
