Van der Vlist played an important part in the preparations for the Matexpo 2013 exhibition, which is taking place in Kortrijk, in the north-west of Belgium, between 4th and 8th September. The 35th annual trade fair for construction machinery brings some specific logistical requirements for it’s exhibitors.
Van der Vlist’s site at Zeebrugge, which has recently been expanded, stores amongst other things, many types of construction machinery for different clients. From storage in Zeebrugge, Van der Vlist modified Gehl and Mustang wheel loaders and skid steer loaders to the specific requirements of the clients, and conducted a full inspection to make sure that all machines were in perfect condition before transporting them to the exhibition. There they were installed to be exhibited to over 40,000 visitors.
At the end of the exhibition, the machines are then transported either back for storage at the Zeebrugge site, or delivered to customers if the machines have been purchased whilst on site at Matexpo. This service is provided regularly by Van der Vlist for exhibitions across Europe, combining storage, technical services and special and heavy transport for goods delivered to and from anywhere in the world.
