In addition to the regular transport of flight simulators, Van der Vlist were also involved in the movement of a cabin simulator from Germany to Iceland. These units, measuring at 1255cm long x 404cm wide x 303cm high, weighing 8000kg, are specially designed to assist with training of cabin crew. The scope of work involved arranging seaworthy packing at the factory, loading onto truck, transport by road to Rotterdam, then sea freight on flatbed containers, under the ship’s deck, to Reykjavik Iceland.
