On Thursday 11th April 2013, Van der Vlist’s terminal Moerdijk became the second area of Van der Vlist’s operations to receive the Authorised Economic Operator accreditation. Having met the strict requirements for the accreditation it was handed over by Dutch customs officials to Van der Vlist Managing Director Nico Van der Vlist and Terminal Moerdijk Managing director Marcel van der Hoeden. It recognises the integrity, security and thorough practices of Van der Vlist terminal Moerdijk’s operations.
The accreditation is internationally recognised mark of quality for business involved in the international supply chain. It means that customs procedures can now be quicker and more efficient as Terminal Moerdijk are officially recognised and trusted because of their high standards in compliance and safety.
Van der Vlist terminal Moerdijk already has Customs bonded storage both indoors and outdoors as part of their Port and Terminal operations. The AEO accreditation is integrated with Van der Vlist’s already approved SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment and Quality) management system.
Nico Van der Vlist commented “I am very proud of our operations at terminal Moerdijk, and the accreditation is further proof that the way we operate is the right way, putting quality and integrity at the centre of what we do on a daily basis.”
