Van der Vlist Special en Zwaar Transport were recently involved in the movement of 57 pieces for De Meeuw Bouwsystemen a provider of temporary and permanent building systems in the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland and Romania. Some time ago De Meeuw started to develop an alternative to traditional buildings, offering an adaptable building both in form and function.
A De Meeuw representative had this to say:
“The first project with this new system had to be transported to Wavre in Belgium. As De Meeuw had no previous experience of exceptional transports, they searched for a partner who could assist. After meeting with the team at Van der Vlist, they provided a suitable solution for our transportation and warehousing problem. Utilizing semi low loaders from the Van der Vlist Speciaal en Zwaar fleet, the first elements of the building system were taken into storage at Van der Vlist Terminal Moerdijk. Due to the width of the construction elements, up to 4.13 m, a number of transports at night carried out. Thanks to the efforts of Van der Vlist, the 45 shipments were delivered to our customer in Wavre within 8 days. With all the elements in place, we were then able to complete a beautiful two-layer building for our customer.”
