Van der Vlist UK Limited have relocated to a purpose-built site at Burma Drive in Hull, UK. The new office, located less than a mile from both the conventional and ro-ro terminals at Hull Docks, opened on the 1st of March. Construction commenced in July 2011 and the UK head office now comprises approximately 4,050 square metres of land.
Kevin Kelsey, MD, said “the move has been a long time coming; we first started looking at potential locations back in 2005. We identified the Burma Drive site and started discussions with the local authorities about our proposals. I’m extremely happy to have completed such a project, and can now concentrate on the continued success of the business”.
Van der Vlist UK have clients throughout the British Isles, for whom they provide out-of-gauge and oversized transport and additional associated services including permits, escorts and route surveys. The move to the new site had both location and expansion in mind. Based on Hull’s position as a major entry and exit point for our drivers the situation is ideal and, with the additional space available at the new premises, there is the potential for storage services.
