The official opening of OT&L (Education in Transport and Logistics) took place on 3rd October, 2015.
OT&L is a collaboration of 12 carriers, including Zwaar Transport Twente, in the municipality of Rijssen-Holten.
The purpose of OT&L is to prevent a shortage of drivers and logistics personnel. Students start at approximately 16 years old and follow a full sixth form curriculum with guaranteed employment at the end of the programme. The training site has two classrooms and a practice space. Lessons are taught by teachers from the Regional Community College of Twente and trainers from the relevant member companies.
